Conseils de nos experts :
Among the smallest angels with its maximum 7 cm once adult (on average 5.5 to 6 for males and 4 to 5 for females), Centropyge Flavicauda is compatible with a large number of volumes of aquarium, let's say from A hundred liters for an individual alone or as a couple. The association of a small group is possible from 200 liters, if all individuals are small and brought at once. Harem's nuptial parades in the evening are a feast for the eyes, do not hesitate to introduce several specimens if you can.
We will obviously avoid putting two males in the presence, it would end with the death of one of them. Likewise, we will avoid putting this fish with other species of dwarf angels in limited volume, because a territorial war can then be set up, and the dominant will have stopped harassing the weakest. In larger volume from 400 liters, several species (to the very distinct coloring pattern) can be gathered, preferably by introducing them closely into the aquarium, so that all of them choose a personal space without using the force . Well at ease once acclimatized, very little fierce, we can put Flavicauda centropyge with all kinds of medium -sized fish. In the presence of larger or agitated fish, or in the event of frequent passage and human agitation in front of the aquarium, centropyges can show a certain timidity and remain to circulate discreetly in the decor.

The Centropyge Flavicauda is not very common in trade, although it is geographically well distributed: it is assumed that it is therefore unusual in nature, or that it is rather covered. Its affection for the sometimes large depths does not facilitate its collection either. Very active during the diurnal phase, it is a lively fish, which circulates everywhere in the decor, sneaks between the rocks with fast and graceful movements. We will also often see him pecking on stones, looking for food: consumer of micro algae, and sessile organisms such as sponges, hydraries, tuniciers and ascidies, in the natural environment, he can lack nutrients of this Quality in captivity: this is why we often see angels fish "fold" towards hard corals and the coat of holy water fonts, which they peck with more or less insistence. This is particularly the case of females in the reproductive phase, because they need quality nutrients to support the rhythm of the laying.
It is however easy to calm the hunger of the Flavicauda Centropyge (at least as much as possible, because it must be said that we are always likely to see small peaks without gravity, with the Angels): offer a maximum of varieties Decongel and high quality meat foods (mysis, enriched artemia, chopped krill, lobster eggs, etc.), the shell or chopped mold, and above all an important daily plant part, like tender and small pellets Spirulina, and if you find it, special preparations for angel fish, which contain sponge (they are in the form of frozen cubes called "Pygmy Angel Formula", "Angel Formula").
If you have a large volume, hosting herbivorous fish to which you distribute dried nori leaves, you will see your Flavicauda centropyge come and eat it. Likewise with the molds or shells given on pliers, dwarf angels also come to take their share on it.
Most centropyges easily acclimatize to dry food (glitter and pellets).

His average life expectancy is ten years.
